Record fx pad

Hi guys ,
i use spark with logic pro and i want to know if its possible to record the fx pad actions ?
the only solution that i found is to send the spark's track with bus , reget it on an audio track 

the idea is to be able to record midi info directly from the spark , to logic like that :

- make my patterns
- drag and drop to logic in as midi
- record the automations ( and the fx pad ) with logic's record

Hi,
this should be working. However, some people report that this is not the case in Logic.
I will check this and get back to you.
