It is unfortunate, but this seems to be pretty much the usual behavior for Arturia. You would think after launching a flagship product, users are always going to find bugs or UI improvements, and there should be some updates to address those. When I got my Nord Stage 3, there were 16 firmware updates within the first six months to address bug fixes and add new features.
Arturia prefers a less incremental approach - they take their time and release fewer updates, but the updates, when they come, do tend to be substantial (MatrixBrute 2.0 or the recent MicroFreak update, for example). This doesn't excuse the lack of communication -- even some occasional messaging from the product team to say "Hi, we have heard your bug reports and requests, we are working on an update, here are some previews of what we're working on" would be welcome and would generate a lot of goodwill I think.
