Keylab MK II firmware v 1.3
« on: November 07, 2021, 03:18:52 pm »
There have been complaints with the new firmware update - flickering background lights, pads on by default etc. Have these been rectified?

Hi everyone.
We are working on a quick update to address the flickering.
The flickering should not damage the LEDs but you can wait for the new update to fix this issue. We apologise for overlooking this issue and are committed to fix it as soon as possible.
Best.

My issues:

- Expression pedal 0 or 127, no intermediate values
- Stop working twice during a show. I had to power on/off to solve. No input received from MKII.
- Not receiving Sysex from Cantabile host. I used it to switch on/off pads and showing information on display.

I will revert to previous version.

Hello simonegiusti.
I'm sorry you experience such bad issues....
I still need to understand what is going on here if you don't mind.
It would be very kind of you if you could take the time to contact our support and give us a little bit more of info.

For the Expression pedal i don't have the issue here, what is your pedal model? In which input is it plugged to?
For the sysex, can you explain excatly what you are trying to accomplish? so i can reproduce your setup?
Most of all, what happen during the show? can you give us more info on it?
Like i said, i'm very sorry it turned out that way for you, i wish to understand the issues here to have them fixed asap.
Waiting for your answer.
Kind regards.

Many thanks for your quick reply.
Today I ordered a new expression pedal just to be sure my old one is not faulty (Roland EV %).
Once I get it I will report.
The most relevant issue is what happened during the show. Literally Mk88 stopped sending messages until I switched it off and on.
It happened the first time during sound check and no more during the concert.
Two days ago it happened during a show causing some troubles.

Now I reverted to 1.2.4 and I will do some tests before next concert.

Absolutely disappointed how long this "quick fix" is taking to happen.

Maybe Arturia also introduced another bug as in Cubase DAW mode, normal keyboard and pitch and mod wheel are no longer working within Cubase or Nuendo.

I'm also more than a little sad that the fix hasn't been quick but I keep telling myself that I'd rather have the right fix than a hasty one with perhaps new bugs - whether ones that directly affect me and my setup or not. I want the KeyLab MK II to be "magnifique" for all of us. I really enjoyed (the intentional aspects of) the new firmware before I unfortunately had to roll it back. Still hopeful and I'd say my fingers are crossed but I'm usually too busy using them on fw 1.2.4.

And yes, this is my first post (I think) and I'm fanboying out even when not 100% happy. And NO I do not work for Arturia. I just give them my money and they give me tools to make sounds that make me happy :)

All that said - I am soooo looking forward to a solid fix!
