Buying Keylab used?

I suspect I know the answer to this question, but I want to make sure anyway.

I’m looking to upgrade from my Keystep and there is a Keylab MKII for sale on Craigslist locally. The problem is the seller states specifically that the software is not included. I’ve done some digging and, from what I can tell, the software seems to be tethered to the Keylab serial so, although the seller may not want to give up the software, it seems they really don’t have a choice, correct? All I really have to do is contact Arturia support and they will deactivate the sellers Analog Lab and transfer it to me more or less?

That seems to be the implication of the bolded line at the end of this page.
If the seller is intentionally trying to keep the software, it's pretty odd for you to buy it from them and then snatch the software away.
I'd ask the seller if they are willing to give up the software, and let them know that any buyer can probably take it away. Give them that link if they just didn't know how to transfer it.

Arturia's stance is pretty clear:

"When selling hardware products all the bundled licenses delivered along with it will be transferred as well"

However the fly in the ointment is if the seller chooses not to give you the unlock code. Arturia will not migrate the software to your Arturia ID without the unlock code, which means the seller theoretically has you by the balls even though it's against Arturia policy for sellers to keep the software without the hardware. However, years ago I bought a used KeyLab 25 (remember those?) and the seller had lost all the documentation. I reached out to Arturia, and after a few email exchanges between us where I photographed the serial number from the bottom of the keyboard, Arturia happily gave me the unlock code.
