Can’t play the filter without digital oscillator
« on: May 18, 2019, 10:59:33 pm »
I feel this is a technical issue infact

The filter can self oscillate hence it can be played but you cannot turn off the digital oscillator.

Please give option to turn off the digital oscillator or some way to turn the volume down so the filter can be played on its own.

Only in monophonic mode: If you send CC 9 with a value in the range  0 .. 9, the oscillator is switched off. Ref. the CC list; it says Type : CC 9  range 10-127, so of course I had to try lower values... The documentation says nothing about this, so there are zero guarantees.

Nice find but does it work?

However I would like this ability to work from the microfreak itself rather than outside midi controllers.

Yes it works. It might be gone with the next FW though - who knows...

Edit: attached patch demonstrates this

Dr Justice! Thank you very much indeed. Your patch works and it is very kind of you 😭 tears of joy.

I still like option to turn off the digital oscillator via an on/off switch or volume controller from the microfreak itself as in paraphonic mode the digital oscillator is always on.
