Haven’t tried it yet, but I was thinking about the insert plug (effects loop) on the matrixbrute, and how it is before the delay module. What if the signal being returned to the matrixbrute isn’t the synth? Anything could be plugged into the return, like a guitar. You could use it as a normal delay effect, or, more interesting, do modulations with the matrixbrute LFOs and envelopes, and do tempo synced stuff with midi.
What is the difference between going in the external instrument input? Just a cleaner signal path, with no vca or filter, but also, you could play the synth still, as a separate instrument, and get the synth out of the insert jack send plug.
One could also use the insert/ effects send/return as a way to split the dry sound off from the wet delay sound, and process them differently, or record them separately, or run them out of different amps (quadraphonic!). You would just set the delay module to 100% wet, because you got the dry out of the insert’s send plug.
Anyone else using the insert plug for anything else?
