Beatstep doesn't memorize fixed velocity
« on: February 07, 2019, 06:39:35 am »
Hello,

I changed the velocity of the pads with the MIDI-Control-Center to a fixed maximum.
When I use the Beatstep after that within a Standalone VST or my DAW, it works properly.

Now the problem:
Everytime I start the PC new, I have to do that again (first the Control-Center, then DAW or Standalone-VST).
I tried to save the settings and sync them, but it has no effect. I still have to use the Control-Center first. Otherwise the Velocity works not as i saved/synced it.

Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you

Hi,

First off, you're talking about BeatStep Pro, not BeatStep, right?
Because BeatStep doesn't have the Max Vel Range setting for Pads, at least I wasn't able to find it in MCC :)

But, on BeatStep Pro, I just tried to set Pad C to Max Vel Range=64 with MCC,
saved the project,
dragged the "ControllerMap" sub-item to the Device's Project 1,
tried it and confirmed that now it wasn't able to go over 64.
Turned BSP off, then on, tried again and Pad C is still limited to Vel=64

So I guess the usually questions are in need:
What Firmware Revision are you using? Latest is 2.0.1.6
What MCC version are you using? Latest is 1.5.1.721

:)
