« on: December 09, 2018, 04:48:47 pm »
Hi, I would like to control external synths trough the midi out... Of the minibrute2s
How do I  get around this...
And is there also a way to change midi channels on the fly for so u can output sequences
to different midi channels?

Lemme know thnx in advance.

Just run the MIDI out from the 2s into the MIDI in on the device you wish to sync.

I haven't seen any on-the-fly MIDI channel change anywhere.  In software, you have to
specifically choose which channel(s) you're listening for, but it's going to play everything
from all channels.

I have a BSP & I set it up to have all four parts to their own distinct MIDI channel.  Otherwise,
they overlap & duplicate since it's all being sent out at the same time.  I can do recording
& perform on the fly for each of the three sequencers & you can use the Control pads for
an additional musical bed.  Once I get the MB2S, I'm hoping that it will be a fifth sequencer,
with letting MB2S do its own thing, except let the BSP control the clock.  BSP has mute
buttons, maybe MB2S has one as well.

Best,

The arturia keystep had it and the normal beatstep also...
So I don't understand why the minibrute 2s doesn't have it
When it has that sequencer that could easily do that.

I wouldn't recommend changing channels on the fly, because if you change while a note is playing it will not receive a note off message and you end up with a stuck note  :(
