Can't load old projects in ReAPER

If I load an old project containing M12 filter, it won't load in Reaper. In my FX list, the old version is listed as 'M12-Filter". The new version is listed as 'Filter M12'. Reaper thinks it's a different plugin and refuses to load it.

The plugins ID should be the same. Can't tell for sure though.
Can you redirect the plugin in Reaper and have the settings kept?
