Split at C5
« on: May 02, 2018, 07:45:17 pm »
In case nobody noticed, there's a bug that occurs when trying to split the keyboard at C5# key (in the Key follow section) setting LO to C5# and HI to anything above, will actually split at C5.  This does not occur for any other key, whether C4# or C6# etc.  Only C5# activates on C5 and above.

Arturia is aware of it and replicated the problem and hopefully will fix it in the next update.  On the other hand, how many people split their keyboards on a C5# key.

I did this to activate the sequencer so that I had access to a standard sounds from C1 to C5 and the sequencer from C5# to C6 (61 key keyboard)
Standard notes are on the Key Follower #4 (LO-HI from C1 to C5)
The sequencer triggers on Key Follower #3 (LO-HI from C5# to C6)

I didn't check to see if any other splits occur at that key, such as Left VCA for one set of sounds and Right VCA for another set of sounds but, it might be interesting to try.

Strange little malfunction.

Actually i had'nt noticed the Key Follow ranges now is working with the VCA's. Have'nt been in the release notes. Don't know when this has been applied. But nice it is.

Thanks for reporting.

With all the updates to Modular V, that little bug still exists.  I have to wonder if they ever tried locating it or whether they bothered at all.  Sounds to me like they would rather spend more time creating new instruments than fixing existing bugs...  OH WELL!!!
