[SOLVED] KLE49 DAW Control with REAPER - What to Expect?
« on: September 01, 2017, 07:37:25 am »
Hi -

I'm very interested in owning the Keylab Essential 49. In fact I've been offered the unit as a birthday gift.

In researching this purchase I'm concerned that my DAW of choice, REAPER 5, is not listed among those compatible with the KLE DAW Control Center or Faders/Knobs sections. Obviously this a major feature of the KLE experience that I would not want to discover is crippled.

Can anyone here outline which KLE controls will work with REAPER, and even more importantly which ones will not?

Thanks in advance,
Pete

Hi SkeletonPete,

The Keylab Essential is working pretty great with Reaper. In fact there is only the Punch feature that is not supported and the feedback for Forward and Rewind (but both commands are working).  Every other command of the DAW DCommand Center and Transport are supported with a proper feedback on the KLE.

One more thing, you need to set the Fader Mode in Jump in the Midi Control Center.

Regards,

Matthieu

Matt -

Thanks so much for your quick reply. That is very good news.

Looks like I will be having a very happy birthday.

Best,
Peter
