Logic Pro X Control Surface Auto Assign
« on: August 04, 2017, 04:23:53 pm »
I've connected up my MiniLab Mk2 and it functions correctly in Logic Pro X, although it doesn't show up in Preferences->Control Surfaces->MIDI Controllers. Should it be listed here?

I was hoping that it would be automatically detected as a control surface, and that the controls would have a default mapping, but this doesn't appear to be the case. The apple support pages show that the MiniLab Mk1 is in the list of controllers which are automatically configured, but the MInilab Mk2 is not - does this mean that the only way to configure controls in Logic Pro X is to manually assign them?

I am very disappointed, I bought the device today, thinking that Logic would Auto Assign (before buying I saw it on the Logic website, it seems that only works for the MK1).
And yes, the sales person told me that it would work  >:(

So how did you guys got it to work? Does someone care to share the settings (via Export)?

Thanks!
