Selected Sequencer as destination for a connected Keyboard ???
« on: September 01, 2016, 06:45:41 pm »
Dear experts,

Is it possible, to make a kind of auto routing of the connected MIDI keyboard in this way, that...
always the currently SELECTED sequencer is automatically the destination for the connected keyboard.

I have connected a keyboard to the BSP.
To route the keyboard to Seq.1 or Seq.2, I use different MIDI channels and I change on the Keyboard the channel.
This works all fine so far.

Now my question is  -  that when I have completed my editings on Sequencer 1,
then I want to continue on Sequencer2.

Up to now, I changed the MIDI channel on my keyboard to change from Seq1 to Seq. 2
and its ok, so far.
But - as most of you know, to change the MIDI channel on a master keyboard is always
uncomfortable.

So does anybody have a better suggestion or workflow or configuration suggestion?
So please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

I didn't find any way, but it sounds like you have Novation controller, or similar. Some companies make a simple midi channel switching a PITA.

I have Edirol PCR 300 and midi channel selection is a single rotary pot 1-16...that simple. no menu diving.
 Similar on miditech 25.
Good luck
