The Mini/Microbrute was the toe in the water, The Beatstep Pro and Matrix Brute have key features that interact so well with eurorack gear. Some separate modules of the "brute" voice seems like the next natural step.
Oh, and the VCF would obviously need a CV input for Brute Factor
