Hi Man-Machine,
In fact there is a kind of pattern chaining in the Keystep:
1) First, you can select through the MCC how the sequences will be switched (Next Seq param)
- End: the current sequence will play till it ends (last step) then, it will play the new selected sequence starting from first step
- Instant continue: The new sequence will play immediately and will start at the step it would have been if it has been played from the beginning (since play button pressed)
- Instant reset: the new sequence will play immediately and will start from first step
2) Moreover, there is a trick to switch immediately from a sequence to another even if the two sequences are not contiguous. This is achieved by pressing and holding the "Shift" button while turning the knob. So while the "Shift" button is pressed you can turn the knob and it will have no effect. When the "Shift" button is released, the selected sequence will be played.
For instance if Seq1 is playing and we want to switch to Seq6:
- Press and hold pressed the "Shift" button
- Turn the knob to select the next sequence (Seq6 for instance) - The Seq1 is still playing
- Release the "Shift" button when you want
- As soon as the "Shift" button is released, the sequence selected by the knob (here Seq6) will start playing (of course, depending on "next seq" mode configuration described in point 1 above)
note: This feature is available for time division Knob as well.Best regards,
SCo
