How to seperate channels to different instruments?
« on: July 26, 2015, 12:21:54 pm »
I see on the Midi connections one port and different channels.

Why only one port available?

The problem is in conjunction with Spark.
I use with Midi out a synth which is connected on channel 4 and 6 to the green and yellow sequencer.

The drums sequencer is on channel 10.
For drums I use Spark and unfortunately all 3 seqencers send signals to Spark and trigger sounds.

How do I setup BSP and Spark that only the Drum sequencer is sending to Spark????

Hi,

I tried both ways.
Using a DAW and also as stand alone running spark in its own GUI.

Sequence 1 and 2 can be set to any MIDI channel (defaults to 1 and 2). Just set your synths to receive on the same channels.

It is necessary to set the same MIDI channel for both devices? I tried to set different channels 2,3,5 still connected via MIDI synthesizer responds to all three sequencer (1, 2, drum)

Zer, have you changed the midi channel on your midi synth to one of those being used by your BSP?  Could your midi synth be set to omni mode (ie: play notes received on every channel).  What is the synth you are trying to control?
Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )

Hi, thanks for the response! I connect Tetra 4 midi and mini korg MS 20 on the CV. Feeds me through the Midi control centr, but still Tetra plays all three sequences.

Maybe you know what should be the channel configuration that would be able to manage three different devices, Midi, CV, Drum, at the same time that would sequences were played and managed independently of each other.

Hi to use the tetra you must set it into multi mode this will allow it to play 4 different midi channels with 1 voice per channel.

Big THX  guys! I figured out, it was necessary to turn on  the multi mode and change the channel in the Tetra4, all the  good luck!
