MIDI Control Center problem with Beatstep - Please help!
« on: June 13, 2015, 02:47:17 pm »
I was reading the manual, first step is to click on sync in midi control center every time but i get this message

"Failed to open the device"

I have the latest firmware update installed latest version of MIDI Control Center and latest OSX

It also says, firmware revision unknown, and if i try to point it towards the latest firmware update it wont go through the process because I get the same message

"Failed to open the device"

What should I do from here?

Hi go to utilities and audio midi setup  open the midi screen and delete the beat step midi driver then plug in your beat step  and try again .

I have the same problem in windows 7(64). MCC does show the beatstep as being connected unless I go through the firmware update sequence. And then, when I exit MCC and restart it, the beatstep does not show up!

Any idea?
