controlling the microbrute with sub phatty
« on: December 12, 2014, 04:48:51 pm »
hi all,

Im considering getting a microbrute to put next to my sub phatty.

Im thinking about patching these two synths together with the use of note priorities to created a paraphonic synth, whilst taking advantage of the micro brute's sequencer. is it possible?

I've read some threads regarding how minibrute and the sub phatty will not work via cv control or midi, is the microbrute compatible with the sub phatty?

all help appreciated, thanks

Hi Minor

I know you posted a while ago, but did you get the microbrute?  It is great fun, I really recommend it.

I assume with the sub phatty that you can set key priority to high, low, or last.  I tested on my Sub 37, set that to low note priority, set the microbrute to high note using the Microbrute Control Centre software, and connected the two via DIN MIDI cable.

It works! ;D  If you hold a single note, it will play on both, but play two notes, and the low notes play on the Sub, and the high on the Brute.

Hope that helps
