Solina bugs
« on: December 22, 2014, 10:00:58 pm »
Solina is useless in both Live and Logic on both of my computers. A 13" 2010 MBP running Mavericks and a brand new 15" MBP with Yosemite. In the default patch I play one note and within 3 bars Live 9 glitches and slows down even though my cpu is at around 20%. Logic I get lots of pops.

Have a search through the forums, you'll find lots of threads with similar issues. It's buffer related increase and it should remove some of the audio glitches. This will introduce latency but until they sort out the issues, that's the best there is.

Thanks, Stuart

I can verify the op's problems but for me it's in standalone and in PT 11.3.0. Crying shame this is happening with a new instrument like this. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for a fix for this. With these latency issues it makes it impossible to track with the Solina. :'(

Yes, Solina is killing my CPU too.

I have a couple of CPU-heavy plugins from Uhe and Xils Labs, but Solina is the worst of all of them.

The convolution reverb is just max-ing out all the time.

I am running a Core 2 Duo iMac 3GHz, with 8 GB RAM, so a bit old now, but still very capable.

Solina has many pops and glitches on the output for me.  So does the Matrix-12.  Both are unuseable.  Standalone mode.  All of my V Collection 3 applications were flawless.  I paid $149 for an unuseable "upgrade."  Not happy at all.

To GrantPettigrew, gravel : Just try turn off reverb knob (Reverb Mix to 0%), IR's operation - the main reason of CPU load in Solina.

Can't reproduce here; this might be in your system. How do things work in standalone mode?

Hi All,
We are aware of this GUI bug.
This bug is not critical. It doesn't interfere with your audio engine.
Thank for feedback
