V1 works fine, V2 can't be registered

I haven't had the Jupiter-8 installed in a very long time, so today I downloaded the latest version of V2. It installs fine, but it won't recognize that I do have a license and therefore asks me to register. That I can't do, as I do not remember my password, and recovering it doesn't work; apparently my account is blocked!?

So, I downloaded V1 instead, which works just fine.

What am I supposed to do here? Shouldn't V2 just work with my V1 license? And why would my account be blocked, I haven't even used it in ages?
