how to 'play the sequence'?

How do you play the sequence in ableton?

Say i've got a sequence running, i'd like to use my keyboard to 'play the sequence' up and down the keyboard.

I don't think this is possible at the moment. You can sort of wing it with the transpose knob but it isn't an exact science. Would love to see this implemented though it'd have to be via USB only which is a bummer.

Hi its already included  but ONLY via USB

in Cubase make a separate midi track and set its output to beatstep
and hey presto the sequence will be transposed as you press notes on your keyboard
but it DOES NOT latch  as soon as you release the key it reverts back to original
