Note: This topic was first discussed in a thread on this forum that did not survive the recent forum outage. I attempted to post this response at that time when it became apparent that Xavier and I were not reaching an understanding of the problem statement but the post failed.

Xavier, thanks for the reply.
I see the +/- feature you mention and, while that is a nice addition, it
does not solve the problem I am talking about. I see now that I am not communicating the problem very well so I will try to explain a little better and in more detail (my apologies if I am going into to much detail).
To start with let me clarify what I mean by a dual-monitor system. A typical dual-monitor video card in the simplest of forms simply tells the operating system that the monitor has a display size of
2048x768 (which is a lie really because it is actually 2 physical monitors side-by-side each of which displays at a resolution of
1024x768). The left monitor display pixels 0-1024 and the right monitor displays pixels 1025-2048.
Given that, here is what my desktop might look like when I start....
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic1.jpgNow when I start one of your products (in this case, MMV 2.0) this is what my desktop looks like (note that this image is spread across 2 monitors with the right-side monitor being unnecessarily covered up with dead space)
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic2a.jpgSo here's the part that is irritating. To correct it I have to do 4 things....
1. "Maximize" the child window....
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic2b.jpg2. "Restore" the parent window....
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic2c.jpg3. "Move" the parent window into position....
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic2d.jpg4. "Resize" the parent window to fit the left-most monitor....
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic3.jpgNow, if I want to open a session of your MiniMg I must
repeat all four of the above mentioned steps in order to get to the following...
http://uhrichweb2.home.comcast.net/Arturia/Pic4.jpgI hope that better explains the problem.
Here is my request.
1. In stand-alone mode, don't start MMV (or MiniMg) as "maximized". Instead just start it with a window size of 1024x768 because that's what it requires (2048x768 is too large).
2. (optionally) Open the child window (the one with the new +/- feature) as "maximized" within the parent. (miniMg already does this)
I realize you have higher priorities but these simple changes would really improve the user experience for those of us with dual monitor systems.
Thanks for listening.
