Need Tutorial on Origin Sequencer
« on: September 09, 2013, 01:58:00 am »
The Origin manual does not seem to explain the Sequencer that well.  Is there a tutorial somewhere that will really handhold me through getting a grasp of this sequencer.

I have downloaded many of the .OGS files here and have trouble understanding how say a KRAFTWERK sequence can have so many different sounds in it?  Is it coming form a PROGRAM that has multiple sounds??

any help would be much appreciated.

Which Kraftwerk sequence/program/multi are you working with? Do you have specific questions so far about patching the sequencer?

Each program can have multiple sounds / sequences going on simultaneously. Programs are limited to four output modules but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are limited to four different sounds per program. I am working on one right now that has 5 or 6 different parts going on simultaneously. The hard limit is the number of modules per program (20). But don't forget that each program comes with two "built-in" MonoLFOs, Galaxy LFO, etc.

Here is a video I found. It doesn't go very in depth but it's a start

Thanks,

I was looking at ManMachine.  I have already seen both of those YouTubes on sequencing but they really don't say much - they just gloss over the features.

I would very happily pay for someone to help through this.

Hi rmm123,

I would very happily pay for someone to help through this.

How much money are we talking about here?  ;D

I was going to post a short tutorial here as a reply to your post, but for some bizarre reason the "Origin Users Community" part of the forum doesn't allow attaching pictures. So I posted it here:

Thanks Paul,
I'll work through the photos and notes - there is a lot in there.
