The ultimate synth?

The Oberheim mix flavor seems to be a good idea and it might get past license issues but it seems to me that Arturia only releases improvements on already existing classic synthesizers. An OB/Matrix synth never existed so they probably won't go for it. On the same topic, they could do the same thing with a Jupiter/Juno blend and get away with legal issues...

The ultimate synth?

The " mixed " Oberheim synth to me actually refers to an OB-Mx , I guess?

Anyway, I don't love Matrix series very much , I played the 12 and it has a crazy interface with six stepped knobs and it didn't sound  like I expected ( to  me a thinner sound than on the OB series ).Same crazy interface had the OB-Mx, even crazier!

What I think is the core of Oberheim sound lies in the old 12dB/Oct SEM filter which was also onboard OBX .

Anyway I hope that, for the moment, Arturia will improve the already existent synths to achieve perfection!
