BeatStep as an expression pedal for an effects pedal
« on: April 18, 2014, 07:43:59 am »
Hi, I'm wondering if the BeatStep can be used like the Electro Harmonix 8-step sequencer for controlling effects pedal parameters via an expression pedal input.
Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmOjDBdCHAk
Apparently my EHX pedal can except control voltages from 0-5V but the BeatStep goes up to 7V.  Can the CV output range be changed?

Thank you kindly.

Sure it can be used for that.
If in the rare case your EHX can't handle more than 5V (read the manual or ask them!), then put a volume pedal between the Beatstep and your EHX. Or a pot meter, or just don't turn up the knobs to much.
