Resizing GUI - Mac
« on: August 10, 2012, 11:45:33 pm »
This tip is probably obvious for Mac users, but thought I would post a thread for it, since many of us have problems reading the tiny sized instruments on our larger monitors.  Note: I am posting this purely as a temporary fix for Mac users... while we're waiting for Arturia to make the native GUI for their instruments adjustable.

On Mac systems.  Go to System Settings and click Enable access for assistive devices.  This will allow you to enable Use Keyboard shortcuts to zoom.  I use the defaults.  With these settings you can zoom in and out of the Arturia instruments with Option-Command-'+' (zoom) and Option-Command-'-' (zoom out).  They become second nature if youre doing a lot of tweaking of the instruments.

Cheers-

Wow, I was just about to post the same tip!  ;D ;D

I will just add that if you have a scroll wheel mouse, you can hold down the control key to zoom in and out while scrolling...  I think this is a default but lives in the[Keyboard and Mouse preferences:

For Windows users,  you can use the magnifier, but it's not as smooth I think:

Thanks Lyford for the mouse scroll wheel tip.  I didn't have that setup.  On my system (OS X 10.8) - one additional thing I had to configure to get scrolling on my mouse with the Control key working, was to check "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom:" in Accessibility section of the System Prefs.  Works great though.  Thanks

I use the magnifier keys a lot if giving a presentation to zoom in on the screen since you can set it to a predetermined factor and get there in one key command, but with my work flow in Logic the mouse wheel is faster.
