Regestering JP-8V
« on: June 20, 2012, 06:24:36 am »
I just bought a Used JP-8V, I have everything (inc the USB Key, CD, Manual & Box) apart from the reg. card, so how can I register on the main site?
Also can I use all the update all the way upto v2.5?.

The reg card could be stuck in the user's manual, or at the bottom of the carton box. Please double-check.

Once you have it in hands, just follow the instructions contained in the user's manual, all the answers to your questions are inside : chapters about Installation and Authorization especially.

The card is not in the box or inside the manual, it is missing. :(

Conntact your reseller, because the card is what you paid for! Thats the most important thing (next to the eLicense stored on the dongle)!

Here are the original words from the manual:

Carefully store your registration card!

In order to actually use the software, you have to register, then authorize, your virtual instrument. By registering, you identify yourself as the legitimate owner and thus will be sure to receive the latest news and updates for you instrument.

The Serial Number and Unlock Code are required to register & authorize your virtual instrument, so these codes are the real value of your product.

I did not get it from a "re-seller" as such, but by a private/auction sale on eBay.co.uk.
I asked him about the reg.card but he says he lost it sometime ago and never bothered about it as it was fully working via the USB Key.

I know that it's working with the dongle, but if you're not registered, you may not get technical support.

Updates are available here: Home > Downloads > Updates

You should always install the latest version of the software.

Maybe you can ask Arturia to move the registration from the privat sellers account to yours, or better he should ask to move it from his account to yours!

I have sent messages to Arturia but have yet to hear back from them on this matter.
