Extremely high CPU for GUI
« on: April 21, 2008, 11:07:44 pm »
I tried 2600 demo in Rax and Logic 8 and the CPU load for the GUI is extremely high, often more than 100%.

Whenever the GUI is closed the load goes down to 20%.

Is there something I can do about this? It's not very practical.
Same thing with Mg Modular.

I use Tiger 10.4.11 on a 2x2.2 Ghz Mac Book Pro w. 4 GB RAM.

Extremely high CPU for GUI

Hello-

I have the same exact problem with extraordinarily high CPU consumption on my Mac with:

MiniMg
Mg Modular
ARP2600
CS-80v

My Jupiter 8 and Prophet VS run perfectly.

I did find a LAME work around:  load two instances of the above instruments, mute the other instrument and all goes back to "normal" in the Activity Monitor.

But let's get a REAL fix going here...

System:
Mac OSX 10.4.11/MBP Intel C2D 2.33/2GB RAM/Saffire LE/Novation SL Remote...
