« on: December 15, 2009, 01:06:02 pm »
Hi

using mmv (all versions)  standalone with asio driver "crackles" very loud.
With a host there is no problem.

Hello Werner,
I don't run in stand alone, but I would suggest that you check the stand alone ASIO settings in the preference pull-down. Compare those to the settings in your functioning host apps. Be sure you are using the same driver and sample rate configuration. Typically the crackling is an indication of too high a sample rate or too low of a buffer size. Hope this helps.

sorry to say, but YESMAN already gave you the answer. Do you run MMV in Directx or ASIO mode? If in ASIO mode, go to the control panel and increase the buffer. Compare this value to the one in the DAW.
