Tracking generator synch
« on: April 09, 2009, 08:22:02 am »
Hello,

I'm currently trying to use the tracking generator to modulate the frequency of one of my ocillators to get a specific "melody".

The problem is that when I use my synth in Ableton Live (Mac), the wave generated by the tracking generator does not synchronise itself with the master clock. Do not get me wrong here : The wave as the good frequency/speed BUT it does not start up on the 1st beat.

Therefore when I'm sidechainning my synth line with my bass drum, I practically get random results since there's no way to predict/tell what part of the melody will arise on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd beat and so on.

I could always export my synth line as an audio WAV and synch it manually but it greatly dmimishes my future options if I want to do any live sets...

So, is there a WAY to reset this "clock", wave or to control it in a way that I know what part of this wave will play on each beat...

Thanks In advance for your answers.
