909 round robin kit
« on: May 17, 2013, 05:28:21 pm »
each pad has 6 random layers, samples nebulised through a tube preamp, slight changes in tuning and velocity..a couple of driven and reversed samples on the 9-16 pads

i recorded them at 88k so the file is huge as theres over 100 files...stupid of me but i was mucking around with my DAW settings and forgot, one day ill get a kit right :)

right click, save as spark kit, then pretend its the mid nineties again

Thanks steve...bring the decay down on the second kick and you can get a great sub kick

If you want to make some great driven 909 kits for yourself Driven Machine Drums is giving 549 quality samples on their facebook page...

Hi Guys, cool to bring us that 909 Round Robin kit. But as a totaly new user, I don't see how to open the .spk file...(I'm on Mac)
Into my kits folders, its .dat files.
So, I putted the .spk file into the spark library folder, but I can't access to it from Spark window. And if I drag and drop the file to spark it doesn't work...
Thanx for your help and hope to bring some sound kits of my own later.
Fabrice

Sorry ! Found the answer to my question on some other posts...
The kit sounds awesome ! True than wave alchemy sounds are really great ! Love the "warm" section, some saturates (like Hi Hats are superb too)

nice one Steve, both the track and that you like the kit...I really want to finish off a Vermona round robin kit but Ive just set up after moving to Asia and have been beta testing 1.7 which is still a bit buggy for user kits...nearly there though

Im sure you get some use out it, and great to hear your track, thanks for sharing :)
