Transmitting Control Voltage
« on: March 28, 2013, 05:31:39 am »
So, I am using my Minibrute in combination with an Oberheim SEM pro, creating a 3 osc monosynth.  I have my Minibrute connected to my SEM pro via control voltage.  I'm trying to send CV sequences from my Analog 4 to the MB and then on to the SEM, but I'm only getting notes going to the MB (just getting a drone on the SEM).

Does the Minibrute only transmit control voltage signals when playing the keyboard, or can I have these signals played on the Minibrute and then forwarded to the SEM?

are you transmitting both CV gate & pitch? it sounds like you may just be transmitting pitch, leading to the drone sound

Yeah I've got cables for Gate and Pitch coming from the A4 and to the minibrute.

has anyone forwarded CV through the minibrute to another synth?  just trying to confirm if it only works while playing the keyboard, or if there is a connection issue somewhere on my end.

thanks for the response
