« on: December 26, 2012, 03:22:45 pm »
I bought Jupiter 8V Plugin and I can not use.
A lot of Crackling and Pops.
Especially in the sounds of the factory emulations.
I Download the Last Vesion and Update this but the problem persist.
Is totally unusable.

Please, any solution?

Sorry for my English ...

You have Crackling and Pops with all presets ?

Your MacBook Pro is coreduo duo or i5 , i7 ?

I can test same preset on my MacBook Pro coreduo duo or iMac coreduo duo

can indicate some presets in particular ?

Hi, Paolo

@ paoloslax

Make ne sound (long sustaining note will do)
Add chorus.
slow the rate of the chorus down to really notice the pops/crackle/noise and also turn the wet dry amount to introduce even more.

This noise is constantly there when the chorus is turned on. Its not desirable, I will test the other effects when I have time.

If it were the SEM and not the Jupiter 8v2, it would sound to me like you are modulating the Chorus with the noise source instead of the LFO source. But clearly, this isn't the case.  I'm not experiencing this on my Jupiter VI, but I'm still running 10.6.8.  Good Luck with it!

Why would that produce a crackling and poping sound? If you use a noise source to modulate a parameter on a chorus module the parameter on the chorus moves randomly, thats it. there should still be no zipper and pop artifacts.

I will test again anyway just to make sure.

You're absolutely right, Frazer, it's not exactly the same cracks and pops - but it's a similarly noisy kind of disruption of smooth sound. Thankfully I don't get it on my Jupiter 8v2, but since downgrading to SEM v.1.1.3 due to MIDI Controller mapping issues, I'm getting the snap crackle and pops on that great VI. Someone posted that it came when the SEM is receiving more than one MIDI message at a time. That could be what that bug is.
