Hi all,

Needs some help with understanding how stop clips that's are playing in an Ableton 11 session. Example @ 1:30 mark of this video https://youtu.be/KGho8cY4k0U?t=87. The standard behavior seems to be Pads 1-8 can only start a clip recording and loop it after recording is done. Every subsequent press of the same pad retriggers the clip but dose not stop the playing clip. In the above video it could be a custom MIDI mapping but would be nice to see if anyone knows how its achieved. I feel like with out this out  this feature in the out of the box Ableton control surface mapping, this controller is pretty useless for live performances and if its can only be achieved with a custom mapping, why have a OOTB mapping in the first place.

Thanks in advance..

Cheers
