"Analog Lab' vs "Analog Lab V"
« on: April 05, 2023, 06:56:34 pm »
In "Sounds" Section of the Arturia website (used to purchase or obtain free presets) website, there is a drop down for "Analog Lab" and another for "Analog Lab V"

I have Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab V.

What is meant by "Analog Lab" presets.  Would these presets work in any version of Analog Lab?

Also, if I want presets generally for the V Collection (mostly for 80s band), should I look to Analog Lab V (or "Analog Lab") presets?

I guess the alternative is looking for presets for particular synths within the V Collection?

I  think it's a good question, because Arturia does'nt explain.

I suggest you ask Arturia support through your account.

What 80's bands and sounds do you search? I have no clue where to search. I think there are some tribute soundpacks. But factory sounds perhaps have more presets that come close than you think. Don't exspect to find excact replicate of any sound for any synth from any manufactor out there.

Okay, I sent a request to support.

This is the response:

"Indeed, the newest ones, marked only for Analog Lab V, won't be compatible with Analog Lab 4 as they are based on the latest versions of the instruments."

So, apparently the ones listed as Analog Lab V will only work in Analog Lab V.

I think the others will work in Analog Lab 4 (and maybe in all earlier versions of Analog Lab?).
