DAW controls for Ableton Live are all messed up
« on: October 06, 2022, 01:54:27 am »
I watched the video introduction to using Keylab MkII to control a DAW and what it says in the video, and what it says on the magnetic overlay for Ableton Live, don't match what it actually does.

Here are the problems I have noticed so far when I am in DAW mode and connected to Ableton Live:
1. The view button doesn't change the view. It sends the note the 2nd Ab above middle C to the DAW.
2. The Arm button performs the function of the view button, but doesn't arm the track.
3. The light of the mute button is reversed, so that it is lit when the track isn't muted and unlit when the track is muted.
4. The pads only trigger notes and don't do anything to do with recording clips. Perhaps this is just me, and I haven't done it right, but at this point I have completely lost confidence in the interface and am in no mood to fiddle about trying to get it working, knowing that it may well just not work, not matter what I do.
5. The Re-Enable button sends the note 2nd Eb above middle C to the DAW.

Why is it so messed up?

Hey did you ever find a solution to this? I'm having the same issue. Cheers!
