Beatstep CV not working with Behriner 2600

I'm trying to have the Beatstep send CV to the Behringer 2600 as in this video:

Can't get CV to 2600 though.  According to Beatstep manual:

These are the electrical signals sent by the BeatStep CV and Gate jacks:
 
Control Voltage: 1 Volt/octave, from 0V to 7V Gate output: 8 Volts

The video uses the Keystep that has these CV specs:

 Pitch has two options, each with its own keyboard reference settings:
o 1 Volt/octave (0-10V)
 0 volt MIDI note range: C-2 to G8
o Hertz per volt (max ~12V)
 1 volt MIDI note range: C-2 to G8 (1V reference default: C0)
 The Gate output has three options:
o S-trigger
o V-trigger: 5 volts
o V-trigger: 12 volts

Is the Beatstep somehow deficient  in CV?
