Analog Sync In w/ MPC Live II
« on: April 16, 2022, 01:41:59 am »
Thought I would ask if anyone else has tried this...I am trying to sync the KSP via the analog Sync In, albeit by sending pulses/creating my own clock out of The MPC Live II is 96PPQ, and the max PPQ of the KSP is 48PPQ.  So you would think that Sending 32nd/64th notes would maybe act as a pseudo clock.  I've gotten it to work by changing some settings etc, only thing is I get a lag at the start, and then general drift between the two by a small amount.  The idea would be that I could have the KSP as a general midi controller for my MPC, but also have some of the tracks separately controlling gear with CV/Gate (with midi switched to off on those).  I basically want the KSP to be the midi clock slave, while also acting as a controller for the MPC, and avoiding midi feedback loops by using analog clock.

Has anyone done this with the new MPCs or anything similar?  It would really be a great way to use the KSP in my workflow.
