Keylab 88 mkii - sound only from transport keys!
« on: July 09, 2021, 01:10:55 am »
Hi friends,

I just bought Keylab 88 mkii and got stuck at the setup process. Not sure what I did wrong but I'm not getting any reaction from the controller in any of Arturia plugins or Analog Lab or DAW, however I do get the little arrow lit up in MCC and WEIRDLY transport keys and DAW commands buttons make sounds. I'm really frustrated and I can't sovle this. All my MIDI input settings seem to be correct, however, there are a couple of strange things:
1. In Analog Lab there are two MIDI device options: Keylab mkii 88 and MIDIIN2 (KeyLab mkii 88), the second one is highlighed greyish and it's the only one I can select.
2. I also see two Keylab 88 mkii input devices in DAW
3. I previously had an older version of Keylab 88 (mki) and it worked fine without issues.
4. I did run a firmware update.

I've re-installed everything more than once, I tried different channels, I reset factory settings, I'm literally banging my head against the wall. Please heeeeelp!

I saw someone had a problem like this on forums but no closure on that thread.

Can you try it on a different computer or even your tablet or phone? That might help identify if the problem is with the keylab or with your computer.

I had this problem in Cubase. In the MCC, try going to Device Settings and changing the DAW mode.
