Stopping KS37 Transmitting Clock/Transport
« on: March 14, 2021, 12:23:11 pm »
Hi,

It might sound counter-intuitive, but is it possible to stop the KeyStep 37 from sending out clock/transport messages over midi?

The scenario is that I'm using it as a front end keyboard into an Elektron Digitakt that is the master clock/transport. I have the Digitakt set to not receive clock/transport on it's midi in, but still receive notes... the problem is I have other midi devices further down the chain that have to pick up from the Digitakt, but then also receive the commands from the KS37.

I want to just manually sync/tempo match the KS so I can use its arp/seq when I need to (mainly the arp I want), but nothing else... any ideas??

Hi, in the MidiControlCenter "arm to Start" could help you. With this, the Keystep only starts, when you press play, even your Keystep will receive midi-clock data from extern.
