Minilab (MK1) Firmware upgrade
« on: August 21, 2022, 02:19:32 pm »
Just dug my old Minilab out the garage, to use with new MBP and Logic Pro.
Keyboard notes play but controllers don't work...have tried LEARN Mode this and that... to no avail.

First step, update firmware from 2.1.0.2 on the controller, to the latest (and last) 3.0.0.5
Problem: Midi Control Centre seems to be looking for a .bin file (I was able to reinstall the same 2.1.0.1 firmware .bin)
But does not recognise the .led file extension on the 3.0.0.5 firmware.
I have tried with old and latest versions of Midi Control Centre.

Seems to be lots of problems with this controller, and it's A old and B superseded by the minicab MK2.
Is it worth carrying on trying to make it work? Or is this a waste of time?

Would be inclined to avoid Arturia controllers in future. Shame. They look nice.

Considering you are upgrading firmware on a mac, why not try doing the upgrade on a windows pc which could yield better results.
