SOLVED - Mini V3 .. the keyboard GUI is missing a key

Hi guys,

As the subject says, my Mini V3 keyboard is actually missing a key both in standalone and as VSTi. Dell inspiron laptop core i5, 16gb ram, NVidia 2GB + integrated Intel graphics. Same on both.

Any ideas?

Ah you downloaded the 'relic'd version. There's also a version available with most of the screen-printing missing above the knobs and some gouges out the woodwork*

*I joke of course, I'm sure someone will be along shortly who can help you. What happens if you try to click on that missing key with your mouse, does it not force a redraw?

If you mouse over the key to the left that key appears but when you move to it, it disappears again.

I have my arturia stuff on 2 systems. A desktop Lenovo Core i5 with standard Intel vid chip. Mini v3 works fine there with no missing key.

Its on my laptop where the issue is. So having discovered that its not a general Mini V3 issue I would reckon its the vid card driver in the Laptop which is a Core i5 with a  dual vid chip - Nvidia and Intel - I have tried it with both and the missing key is there using both. Next is to try driver updates. I reckon the Nvidia is the issue as it is an older laptop and nvidia no longer update the driver since 2019

That's strange. i'm really not sure what's causing it. Thankfully it's just a graphical issue and I assume it works fine from your DAW or midi keyboard.

"I assume it works fine from your DAW or midi keyboard" -- NOPE. whether I open it inside the DAW ( cakewalk, Ableton etc ) or standalone, that key is missing. I am updating the Nvidia drivers as much as I am allowed with respect to versions, so far key still missing. Very strange one this is.

I might also try uninstalling the MINI V3 and reinstall

UPDATE.

Sorted .. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. All keys back

I note during install lots of PNG Graphic files added. Most likely one of these in the original install was not showing properly ..
