direct REC : only pitch
« on: December 08, 2020, 09:21:51 pm »
Hi,

i have a sequence i like in terms of steps (on/off) gate,
but i would like to change some pitch. by playing them to replace previous pitch. for the moment when i do that it also records the gates = messing my pattern to much. (steps diseaper because replaced by gate lengh etc)
is it possible to record only pitch (or pitch + velocity only ?)?

thx

(i realize i would also like to be able to record while playing on keyboard but with gates locked to 1/16 for exemple) so how ever long you hold note will only result in 1/16gate.)

I think the closest to this would be hitting the "step edit" button, selecting a specific step on the pattern sequencer and then using the pitch knob to change that specific note.

yes thx.  ;D
that's why i was mentioning "by playing them" rather then using step edit.
on a performance setup i can see myself just recording live some notes to add correction to previous pattern way faster than manually editing step by step :p
