Tap Tempo w/ Pedal

Hey everyone! First post, love my Beatstep Pro, totally changed the way I play and practice

I have one question which I'm not finding much information on: what's a good tap-tempo pedal you can use as a MIDI clock w/ BSP?
Is something like the Disaster Area MIDI Baby a good option?

What about Play / Stop messages?
I saw in the Midi Control center they're MMC messages; haven't really found anything that sends these out of the box.
Except maybe the Behringer FCB1010 which is waaaaayyy too large for me hehe
Do you need to go the raspberry pi / custom midi box route for play/stop messages?
