I have noticed that when using scales and recording sequences when scale is selected is not being sent via MIDI.
So if I have sequence playing on MF and want to layer with another synth it actually plays keys that I touched rather that "quantized to scale" So basically MF plays the melody that I want and the other synth plays some notes out of tune :0
Also, when I go into step recording - the note letters shown on the display are incorrect. Display shows the keys that I pressed (touched) and not the actual notes that I hear due to scaling.
This doesn't make MF very friendly for using as MIDI controller/sequencer for other gear, which is a pity, as being able to play within selected scale is AMAZING for live jamming.
