When I order the Microfreak, I thought it would be a poly-oscillator Plaits, meaning -- as is the case with multi-oscillator mono synths -- you could tune the oscillators to different settings to diversify the sound.
So in unison mode, why not be able to run 2 oscillators in Waveshape mode over 2 oscillators in FM-mode, for example? Even if the Modulation Matrix had to run identically to both types, this would hugely expand the timbral possibilities!
