[NON ISSUE] Is this a microfreak bug?
« on: May 04, 2019, 06:37:24 pm »
My microfreak arrived... yay   :)

However, I like the 'Ether' patch but it changes unexpectedly when I'm playing the keyboard. Why? It means I can't use it. I'm playing it for about 10 to 15 seconds, then I hear a small click and the sound changes as if it's backwards.  ???

Its part of the patch, turn off the pressure to wave modulation, that should stop the click.

Simple rule if you think you have a bug turn off all the modulations, and if its still there its a bug.

Hello everyone,
as Moho said, this is part of the patch. What is disturbing you is the Press>wave routing in this case. Deactivating this routing will fulfill your need.

cheers,

ok thanks, I'll have a go at that -

also, why are some of my saved sounds different when I reload them later?

I'll be happy to help if you can give more details about this issue.

If you create a patch that uses the cycling envelope in run mode and the lfo in free running mode it may sound one way,
but when reloaded the phases of the cycles will have shifted and will sound different.

When creating patches that rely on the interaction of the lfo and cycling envelope always set the lfo to reset and the envelope to loop.
Hope this helps

Yes i also have this problem, if it is a problem.

Patch "Bontempi"...there is no point in the Matrix ENV -  CUTOFF. After a Time the LED jumps in, and change the sound. Looks not like automation because there was not LED on.
But so i read here...i have e eye on it.

cheers.

I think this is due to the known issue that knobscanning is a bit flakey in this firmware. If you load a patch it can change suddenly due to parameterchanges when MF thinks a knob has been moved while it wasn't actually moved.

I believe Arturia announced this was firmware related, and that they're working on a fix.

I thought mine was being buggy as the envelope to filter light kept turning on in the matrix
then I realised if you turn the filter amount knob on the envelope it automatically lights up in the matrix  :-[

@Moho :
having the env->cutoff led lit up when turning filter amount knob is because it is exactly what is happening inside, so as an alias, the env to cutoff routing is created on the matrix.
thanks,

That's why I said I thought it was a bug, but then realised it wasn't  8)
