MiniBrute 2 local control
« on: October 31, 2018, 12:18:54 am »
I use Ableton Live and would like to use the MB2 keyboard as a midi controller for other instruments/plugins.

Does the MiniBrute 2 support Local Control, so that I can disconnect the keyboard from the synth?

I can't see a setting in the Midi Control Center software. If this does not already exist (maybe I have missed it?), is this something that might happen in a future firmware update?

Thanks.

Any word on this? From what I understand, original Minibrute could be switched to local off by sending a value to CC# 122, but this doesn't seem to work with the Miniburute2. I was hoping to use the MB2 as a master controller with my Octatrack and other synth modules, but need to defeat local control to make it work.

Thanks

Well, I found a workaround...I am using one of the MIDI>CV converter modules in my Eurorack, hooked to PITCH and ADSR Trigger of the Brute, and setting the converter to another MIDI channel, so MiniBrute transmits channel 11 to use as a controller, but receives CV through channel 2.
