Unable to use BSP as MIDI Master
« on: February 14, 2019, 08:20:42 am »
Hi Peeps :)

First post here... Never had any issues with my Arturia hardware so didn't even know that this place existed.

I am currently trying to control and synchronise two of my DAW's with my Beatstep Pro as the Master.

DAW #1 - Cakewalk (by BandLab)

I can slave Cakewalk to the BSP so that when I start playback in Cakewalk it sits there waiting for MTC. When I start play on the BSP, Cakewalk also starts.

Trouble is, Cakewalk does not match tempo set in the BSP.

Is this correct? Does the BSP only send start/stop messages?

The fact that my MOTU micro lite MIDI input indicator is flashing, showing that something is coming from the BSP, despite all sequencers being blank, suggests that something is being sent.

DAW #2 - REAPER

REAPER will not even start playing... Just sits there waiting for MTC.

I've watched a REAPER video (Kenny's) on this subject and it looks pretty simple to me.

Any ideas?

cheers

andy

P.S.

trying to get past security when posting here is a nightmare...
