BSP Midi Out question
« on: December 29, 2018, 07:41:56 pm »
Hi all,

Looking for some clarity on a topic here.

I've recently purchased some gear and looking for help setting the midi up correctly.

Gear;

Abelton Live
Saffire Pro 26
BSP
Vermona DRM1
Roland TB-03

I'd like to make the Beatstep Pro the master clock for projects and achieve the following;

BSP MIDI OUT - VERMONA DRM1 MIDI IN - VERMONA DRM1 MIDI THRU - ROLAND TB03 MIDI IN
SAFFIRE PRO 26 MIDI OUT - BSP MIDI IN

If this is correct, it would allow the BSP to control the master tempo, allow the vermona and tb03 to flow through the BSP into the computer and also allow me to still input midi through the computer into the bsp for either channel.

Second part of this question is how the channels are setup for each device.
If i set the DRM1 on Midi Channel 10, what would the best option be for the tb03?
Does the midi channel have an impact on how the device would place the midi notes?

I assume all of this can be cleaned up and organized through the BSP MCC?

Appreciate any help ahead of time.
Thanks.
